DIARY
21st October:- 5 Puppies arrive, 4 boys and 1 girl by C-section. Puppies and mum doing well, though mum is a little unsure of who these little gremlins are at the moment.
21st October:- All going well at this stage, though Maggie still isn't producing a lot of milk. We're supplement feeding and HOPING that situation will rectify itself soon. We've given the pups some pet names (which obviously owners are free to change if they wish), but also some Kennel names that we will submit for registration to the VCA. Last litter our theme was singers and songs. This litter we're going with an historical Australian perspective. We 'could change these, but at the moment these take our fancy.
Clancy - is obviously from Banjo Paterson and 'Clancy of the Overflow'
Ned - again, obvious..Ned Kelly
Henry - from Henry Lawson who is a reknowned Aussie poet/author
Matilda - again from Banjo and the iconic 'waltzing matilda'
Banjo - yep..you guessed it.
23rd October:- All going well, pups had their dew claws out today.
27th October:- Pups are all putting on weight at a great rate. As far as weight goes, most of them are about 2 weeks advanced on our last litter at this same stage. 'Ned' is definitely the runt of the litter and is just over half the weight of some of the others. He is doing very well though.
27th October:- Did an update of pictures and videos (see below). All going well.
2nd November:- They're all attempting to walk and some are up on their feet in a 'wobbly' kinda way. Eyes are also getting a lot closer to opening. It looks like thats only a day or two off. All still going extremely well. They're lovely happy little puppies.
3rd November:- New phots's, video's and weights added. Definitely seeing some good movement with the guys trying to walk. Ned is probably not as far advanced but is really trying to motor his way around the box
11th November:- All eyes open. All up and about. Eating some solids now (farax and mushed up supercoat). Walking..doing great.
18th November:- Still all going fine. Didnt get videos today as they buggered up in the cam (bloody technology). All eating and all very much developing their own personalities
25th November:- They're getting outside quite often now. They LOVE getting out of the pen and actually demand it..! They're going to toilet outside when they're put down, so hopefully the start of the toilet training process here will help our new puppy owners. They're not quite weaned totally, but getting there.
6th December:- We've had all of the pups at the vets today getting their first shots, microchipped and health tested. The vet has given a BIG thumbs up to the litter, all looking and doing extremely well.
Ive been a touch slack with pictures in the last week, stay in touch and I'll have new pictures up in the next day or so.
14th December:- New pictures. Pups are off to their new homes this weekend. Neddy perhaps maybe staying a little longer as he has to shake off an infection he has in his belly.
